Boise: Exciting news
from the Boise, Idaho trials! Our little girl earned her very first
agility title with a first place in Novice Jumpers.
Doug and Helki also
qualified twice in Novice Standard with two more first place
finishes. These two are really coming together as a team.
Great job guys!

Gavin finished
his Open Standard title with a first place finish. He also
earned a first place in Excellent Jumpers.
We were also very
excited to discover that Gavin was listed in the GSDCA's Top 10
Obedience Rankings for 2008 for his performances in Open obedience.
This is the second year in a row that Gavin has been nationally
ranked in obedience.
Ririe:
We had another great weekend at the Ririe, Idaho trials. Doug
and Helki continued their amazing streak with four great runs.
They finished their Novice Standard title and brought home two
firsts in Open Jumpers. They also had their very first Open
Standard Q.

Gavin had a great
weekend in Ririe. By some stroke of fabulous luck we qualified
twice in Excellent Standard! We also qualified in Excellent
Jumpers. Doug and I feel very fortunate to share our lives
with such wonderful dogs. :-)
September 2009
Doug and Helki
went to their very first agility trial in Pocatello, Idaho.
They qualified in Novice Jumpers and earned first place three days
in a row! Way to go guys! I am so proud of you!!!

Gavin also
qualified with a first place in Open Standard. In typical
sibling rivalry style, he promptly stole Helki's new stuffed
hedgehog as soon as we arrived home.

May 2009
Gavin finished
his Novice Agility Standard title in South Jordan, Utah. He
also qualified twice in Open Jumpers, bringing home three first
place ribbons and a giant stuffed caterpillar. (We'll be sure
to keep the latter away from Helki!) With Friday and
Saturday's Q's, Gavin was on quite a streak with seven straight
qualifying scores. Way to go buddy!
March 2009
What a great
weekend! Gavin earned his Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) title.
He also earned two legs toward his Novice Agility (NA) title.
We were entered in four classes and Gavin qualified all four times!
Since he was the only 24" dog, he brought home four first place
ribbons, a stuffed duck, and a stuffed gecko. Once we arrived
home, Helki promptly beheaded the stuffed duck and pulled all of the
stuffing out. Ah, sibling rivalry . . . :-)
I also wanted to
take a moment and say thank you to each of our clients who have
shared their photos and stories in the past few months. We
care about each and every one of our pups and we are so grateful for
your updates. Thank you!!!

We just received
new photos of Guardyan's Isabella from the
Positive
Partners Assistance Dogs program. This exceptional
program custom trains assistance dogs for individuals with
disabilities. Isabella is
currently in
training with Positive Partners to become a guide dog. She is working on
socialization, gaining public access experiences, targeting, and
harness work.

The program director
contacted us and wrote the following:
"You
should be very proud of this litter, Shyne. Everything you did,
is what I would have done and the reason I was attracted to your
program - not just in terms of pairing dogs for breeding but in
how you handle your puppies. It makes such an incredible
difference in them.
Isabella is just a BMW in terms of biddability and work ethic.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy training her compared to even
the top English Labs we have had in the program. There is just
no comparison . . . I think eventually, we will
have all GSDs in the program.
Isabella is such a hard worker. She just doesn't give up. The
Labs do. When things get hard, they try to play the "cute" card
so they don't have to work. Not Isabella. When things get
hard, you can see the determination in her eyes and
attentiveness, to figure it out. There is just simply nothing
finer than a well bred GSD."
We are so pleased
that Isabella was accepted into the Positive Partners program.
They are doing a wonderful job of training Isabella so she can have
a positive impact on someone's life.
Keep up the great
work Iz. We're very proud of you!

exciting weekend in Boise, Idaho. Guardyan's Gavin earned his
Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) and Rally Excellent (RE) titles.
There was even
more exciting news waiting when we arrived back home. I opened
up our
German Shepherd Dog Club of America magazine and found out that
Gavin was included in the
'Top Ten' Obedience rankings for 2007. What a great weekend!!!
