Hi,

I thought I'd send you a quick email and tell you how fantastic our Nina is!  I just really can't say enough about how wonderful she is.  I credit her breeding and all of the important and time-consuming work you put into the litter's early development.  We get numerous remarks daily of how good she is (and how cute) from neighbors, friends, and strangers alike.  She is so bright and eager to learn and please, she is gorgeous, but most importantly her temperament is fantastic.  She loves the cat even though it is not quite mutual at this point.  In peaceful moments when I am alone in the kitchen I will find them lying next to each other.

Anyway, I just can't say enough about how pleased and in love we are!  You've obviously done a remarkable job breeding and socializing her, and your kennel is a tribute to the breed.

Best,

I am extremely happy with the German Shepherd I acquired from Guardyan Kennels.  The care that was taken in the breeding of this dog is impressive.   I was impressed with the individual attention that was given each pup in the litter.  I did not chose my pup, she was chosen for me and I am glad she was.  My dog is perfect for what I have to offer her and she is exactly what I hoped for and MORE!  She is intelligent, even tempered and beautiful.  She has excellent tracking skills, understands guarding, not attacking and is amazingly obedient.  I have owned German Shepherds all my life.  This dog is far superior to my previous pets.  I would happily recommend Guardyan Kennels to anyone who is looking for a high quality GSD.

You should be very proud of this litter, Shyne.  Everything you did, is what I would have done and the reason I was attracted to your program - not just in terms of pairing dogs for breeding but in how you handle your puppies. It makes such an incredible difference in them.

Isabella is just a BMW in terms of biddability and work ethic.  I can't tell you  how much I enjoy training her compared to even the top English Labs we have had in the program.  There is just no comparison . . .  I think eventually, we will have all GSDs in the program.

Isabella is such a hard worker. She just doesn't give up.  The Labs do.  When things get hard, they try to play the "cute" card so they don't have to work.  Not Isabella.  When things get hard, you can see the determination in her eyes and attentiveness, to figure it out.  There is just simply nothing finer than a well bred GSD.

Hello Shyne, wanted to tell you how much we are enjoying our puppy, Kacey.  We have only had her for 2 1/2 weeks now but we LOVE her!  She is so smart & is so easy to train!  Our other dog, India, loves her too & is very protective of her with other dogs.

Last weekend I took her to police dog trainer in our area & she observed Kacey interacting with people & other dogs & watched her while the bitework training was going on.  The first thing she commented on was her great temperament!!  She also made note that Kacey did not become nervous or agitated at all the shouting & commotion going on around her.

Thank you for your breeding standards & for striving so hard to breed your puppies to be the best GSDs that they can be!!

I searched all over the USA to find a well-bred puppy & I am thankful that I found you!

Blessings,

We bought our purebred black & red German Shepherd from Guardyan Kennels.  Shyne is not simply a breeder that takes your check and disappears, but rather she is a true partner and friend with the welfare of her dogs as her number one priority.

I would highly recommend anyone purchasing a GSD puppy from her future litters.

Hi Shyne,

Gavin is really looking good!  Congrats on all of his work!  Ruari is doing fine - we've been working on obedience and some tricks.  I still can't get over how smart he is - he's a great problem solver and is not afraid to try new things.  I get lots of compliments on him, and I always give you the credit!  He's turned out to be the best dog I've ever owned and the best-tempered Shepherd I've ever met.  My mom and my brother have both gotten to meet him and just love him.

I can't tell you enough how much he has made a difference in my life.

I attached a recent picture of him - thanks again for putting us together!

Hi Shyne,

Well, I’ve a story to tell you about my Sierra girl.  She has not been going out potty in the middle of the night for quite some time now & has no problem sleeping all night.  However, on December 13th (14th actually since it was 1:30 am) she woke up whining so I got up to take her out.  We had been out all the day before putting protection around the berries & trees because of the severe weather which was predicted to be below 0 this night.  Since it hadn’t been slick I never even gave it a thought & put her on her long lead to go out in my slippers & sleep T-Shirt.  The first thing I noticed was it had snowed & was horribly cold.  Sierra has a special place she likes to “go” over by the draw that runs behind the cabin so off we went.  About two thirds of the way there down I went!!  Hard!!  I lit on my back (right hip & wrist) & hit the back of my head.  I couldn’t get up & I heard the snap of my wrist. (PAIN)  I broke that wrist severely twelve years ago so I was really frightened as I almost lost the use of my right arm that time.  I tried calling for my husband for help but he not only sleeps like the dead, the bedroom is on the opposite side of the cabin.

The cold began to penetrate quickly & I knew some real fear as I couldn’t get up off the ground.  I started to cry & Sierra came bounding to me as she finally realized I was hurt.  She snuggled up into my right side like to keep me warm & protect me.  As she did this I was able to roll toward her & hook my left arm around her neck & she sat up part way. This raised me enough that I realized I might be able to get up if she would stand up so I told her to take me to the house which she understands from us playing outside.  She immediately stood up taking me with her & we went slowly back to the cabin, me holding on the whole way.  She was so concerned that my husband couldn’t get her away from me to go back to her bed.

I ended up in surgery & have a metal plate in my wrist with a rather lengthy recovery ahead of me but thanks to Sierra I am none the worse for wear.  My Sierra girl is my hero!  She has very strong protective instincts & continues to be a joy to us. . . I do thank God for her wonderful common sense & protective nature.  So again, thank you for my wonderful dog!

Hello Shyne,

I hope this letter finds you happy and in good health. We are doing well and are staying very busy, sometimes more busy than I would like, but no complaints.

I am so proud of Shackleton and every day he impresses me more. He is our designated greeter at the Inn and he has such an easy demeanor toward our guests and their compliments are never ending. I try to take him to the mountains 2-3 times a week in varying terrain and his agility level increases with each trip. I am amazed at his reasoning and route choices, he is better than a great deal of people. I really wonder how far his abilities will advance.

   Many Thanks,
          Mac

p.s. In a few years we are going to want another one of your GSD's!!  Please don't ever stop breeding, Your Dogs Rock!!

Hello Shyne, you are most welcome to use anything I've said (or written) as a reference on your website.  We are so happy with Erika; she is a wonderful, smart, and loving member of our family.  We are proud to share our lives with her.  If you would like a letter of reference I would be happy to provide that as well, although I don't know exactly what I should include outside of what I have said about our girl already.  Honestly, you have never met such a sweet and loving dog as our Erika. She is no doubt the pick of the litter :)  Good to hear from you Shyne.  Hope you are all well.

Previous e-mail:  There is one last thing I forgot to tell you about Erika. Her personality is utterly unflappable. I have never seen such an unshakable dog in my life. We live in the city as you know and there are crazy sirens and parades and construction noise all the time, nothing bugs her. At 4th of July I was worried she might go nuts with all the fireworks and firecrackers in our neighborhood; NADA, it was business as usual for her.  Even our vet noted that she has never seen a more unshakable GSD. She is quite remarkable in this regard. And yes she can hear; she can hear me getting my car keys from two floors away in the house :) Thought I would share that with you.

Merlin is doing just great!  Everyone is totally in love with him and he is the most awesome dog.  I have attached a photo of him from a few weeks ago at Squaw Valley.  We had him up at our ski condo.  He is getting bigger by the day.  You can't walk 10 feet without everyone wanting to pet him and tell us how beautiful and perfect he is.  Thank you so much for allowing us to have him.  We will send you some more pictures when I get them loaded on my computer.

Best,
